In the back woods of West Virginia a legendary locomotive that once delighted and inspired thousands of train lovers throughout the east has returned home to be given a new life at Cass, WV operating on the beautiful “C&O Greenbrier Subdivision” between Cass and Durbin.
To complete the restoration of BC&G 4, a new boiler must be fabricated. The original, nearly 100-year, boiler has suffered from poor water and upkeep throughout the locomotives career and is unusable. We are happy to announce that a contract has been awarded to Sistersville Tank Works of Sistersville, WV.
When the new boiler is completed and installed, BC&G #4 will have a bright future and will be able to operate for generations to come!
